Glass gets goose egg in Kindersley

Steven Glass earned his first SJHL shutout Thursday.

Steven Glass stopped all 31 shots fired his way and Matt Dochylo scored twice to lead the Estevan Bruins to a 4-0 win over the Kindersley Klippers on Friday in west central Saskatchewan.

Glass, making his first start in nearly a month, earned his first SJHL shutout, an effort that included shutting down the Klippers in the first two periods to keep his team in the game.

The Bruins repaid that in spades in the third period, scoring four times in the first 10 minutes to quickly and decisively put the game away.

Dochylo scored his seventh of the year unassisted at 1:49. Less than two minutes later, Calder Neufeld scored a power play goal to make it 2-0.

Near the midway point of the period, Josh Jelinski and Dochylo scored 12 seconds apart to add some breathing room. Tyler Paslawski assisted on both goals.

The Bruins fired 22 shots on Justin McDonald in the third period alone for a total of 38.

Two minutes after Dochylo's second goal, Tanner Froese and Tanner Kissick fought and were both tossed. Kissick got an instigator and a 10 as well.

The Bruins are in North Battleford tonight and then back to Kindersley tomorrow before coming home.
