North Stars win in overtime

The Battlefords North Stars came from behind 3-1 in the series against Nipawin and are moving on to the SJHL's Bauer Conference final.

Wheaton King scored the game's first goal for Nipawin, but Boyd Wakelin tied the game in the second period and Roger Tagoona scored in the first minute of overtime, his first of the playoffs, to give the North Stars the win.

In North Saskatchewan River Hockey League action, the Maidstone Jets hosted the Meadow Lake Stampeders and lost 4-2, as Meadow Lake evened the series 1-1.
