Not shopping locally has advantages

Dear Editor

My husband and I have been shopping around for a new bed within Saskatoon. Finding that all the big box store were getting higher and higher in prices we decided to inquire within our circle of friends about what to by and where to buy it. Ultimately one of the couples we know had just recently bought one we absolutely loved.

Being we had to shop elsewhere we though, as out-of-towners, we were going to be taken for a ride.

Our mistake completely. We travelled to North Battleford and discovered the lost art of proper customer service wasn’t lost at all, it was just hidden in a small bedding store.

Our expectations were lower than low for the store just due to its size, but we were blown away by the helpfulness and the knowledge of the person behind the desk. The young gentleman figured out our needs, showed us what we wanted to see and gave us a better price than the 30 plus stores we had already been to.

Why can’t more of the big city sales people \ be like him. From now on our recommendations go to that store alone and to no one else. North Battleford may not be the bedding hub of Saskatchewan, but it sure has the best customer service we have ever experienced.
