Bike registration ludicrous

Dear Editor

Are City administrators and council members out of their minds, considering a one-time $5 registration fee bikes?

There are so many other dilemmas that face this city, like extremely poor road conditions and bikes are the least of their worries. What if the bike costs $20? Will they implement a fine that’s worth more than the bike?

Are bylaw enforcement officer going to stop children and bear down on them if they don’t have one? Or worse, confiscate their bikes?  Are the bylaw officers so bored that they are going to stop every cyclist and ask to see their permit?

This is a cash grab if I ever heard of one. People of North Battleford, speak up about such a foolish consideration.  Shame on them!
