North Battleford Fire and Emergency Service were called to Valley View Towers 2 Thursday evening, as residents smelled smoke coming from one of the suites.
The occupant of the suite wasn't home at the time and fire crews entered the suite and found a pot on the stove smoldering.
The suite and hallway had to be ventilated to remove the minor smoke, but there were no injuries from the innocent.
