Garage and contents destroyed

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services arrived too late to save a garage and its contents that went up in flames Wednesday afternoon.

Damage is estimated at $30,000 to $40,000 and it is reported there was no insurance on the property.

Crews responded to the a call to a location in the RM of North Battleford, 16 kilometres north and nine kilometers east about 2:30 p.m.

According to NBFES the garage owner was working on a garden tractor and spilled some fuel, which may have caused the blaze.

Tuesday NBFES was called to a fire in a power meter at 11315 Clark Dr. The fire, which damaged a deck, is still under investigation.
