Feed the Artist (FTA), a collective of artists working in the Battlefords, is launching a magazine Saturday at the Chapel Gallery from 7 to 10 p.m.

This is a free party to celebrate the magazine’s release.

Zenshin, a hip-hop group from Saskatoon, will help kick it off. Jon Pare, Aryn Murray, Mitch Mckee, and Zack Mainhart make up this group who perform what is described as transcendental music that makes the mind float and the body sway.

Saturday’s show will also features funk by a local group, The Cunning Men. The evening is also the opening reception for Karlie King. King is a Mervin artist who has salvaged old desk-tops and created image-transfers based on their content. The show is called, DeskArt.
