Smaller group out for New Horizons

New Horizons Golf

It was a cool day Monday and many of the New Horizons took the word of the weather man and stayed home. There were however 22 non-believers that did brave the elements.

The winning team, at even par, was that of Merv Zulynik, Norm Soiseth, Gerry Bristow and Bruce Lotts.

One stroke behind were Bruce Dalshaug, Ali Raycraft, Ken Holliday and Dave Page. Also one stroke back were Art Strueby, Bud Moar, Don Dill and Don Beggs.

Other winners of the day were the Scotts (Wally and Bernice) with Lynn Williams and Jim Fraser at three strokes off the pace, as the consolation winners. Bud Moar gets a golf ball for coming closest to the pin on eight and Dave Page won a car wash for having the longest putt on nine.

Monday will be the next outing for the New Horizons at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club.
