Dear Editor:
I am concerned about Regina’s Mayor Pat Fiaco’s propsed monument, the dome stadium.Here is where I and the silent majority of Saskatchewan people who have not attended a football game, do not want to see a football game, stand. I fail to understand the intense promotion of essentially a foreign game played by foreigners at the upper echelons of the sport. It’s a game that cripples more of our youth than any other sport. A virtual human demolition derby. Confirmation is made by the current lawsuit against the N.F.L by veteran players for their injuries. Any government that gets suckered by the intense pressure of the promoters and blows public money on this industry does so at their peril.
