Ted Bergerman

Ted Bergerman

Theodore Robert Bergerman November 6, 1945 – July 1, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family announces that the death of Ted Bergerman occurred at St. Paul’s Hospital on Sunday July 1, 2012 at the age of 66. Ted is lovingly remembered by his wife Darlene, daughters Alison (Brad Kovach) and Heidi (Derek Nickel), grandpuppies Taylor and Penelope, brothers and sisters Jerome (Verlie), Mary Rose (Bill) Wolff, Joan (Denis) Baudair, Herb (Lucille), Joe(Johanna), Denis (Lynne), Roman (Marlene), Jim (Donna) and Kathy, and his brother-in-law Marcel Robin. He was predeceased by his brother Robert, sister Margaret Robin and his parents Ted and Alice Bergerman. Ted married Darlene in 1974 and they were inseparable for 38 years. Ted was a dedicated father and passed on his wisdom and strength to both his daughters. Ted was a jack of all trades. If you needed a job done, he was always there to lend a helping hand. Teds passion for building led him to build their family cabin as well as many other projects. Ted received his B.Ed; B.A. and PGD in Ed. Admin. Ted was a principal for 27 years of his 30 year teaching career. When their family moved to Saskatoon, Ted worked and developed a close relationship with J & H Builders. Throughout his lifetime, Ted’s real passion in life was farming. Anyone who knew Ted knows his unique sense of humor and quick wit. He always had a smile on his face. Ted loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a love for music and playing piano, guitar and the drums. He loved all sports, playing cards with his wife, Star Trek, and was always looking forward to the next road trip. You were the best father and husband anyone could ever ask for. We love you so much and you will be greatly missed. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Ahmed and staff at the Cancer Clinic, St. Paul’s Hospital and Royal University Hospital for the compassionate care. A Prayer Vigil will take place on Thursday evening, July 5th 2012 at 7:30 pm and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning July 6th 2012 at 10:00 am. Both services will take place at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Co-Cathedral. Condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home.
