9-man football

The top 9-man high school football players in the province will be getting together to play against the top 9-man players from North Dakota in what is known as the Saskota Bowl. Players attempted to earn a roster spot on Team Saskatchewan during tryout camps. Preston Liebrecht and Robert Okeny were both selected to make the team. The Saskota Bowl was initiated in 2004 by coaches Bill Ruetz from Saskatchewan and Davey Zinke from North Dakota. The original format of the game was to alternate the host city/town each year between Saskatchewan and North Dakota. Saskatchewan opted to move the host school around the province, while North Dakota has decided to host each year in Rolla, ND.
