KAUFMAN: Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Fred grew up on the farm near Watson and began his contractor and finishing carpentry career at age 14. His love of carpentry spanned 60 years and took him to Port Alberni, Ocean Falls, the Lower Mainland and later Palm Springs, California. Surrounded by family , Manfred passed away peacefully in Abbotsford Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara(Dierkes nee Padovan) and his brothers, John and Lou. Fred leaves behind siblings Raymond and Yvonne Washington. As well daughters: Janet Cox and Darrell (Edmonton), Wendy and Phil Allen (Burnaby), Karen Levien and Randy (Grindrod), Lori and Shawn Farquhar (Maple Ridge) and first wife, Norma. Grandchildren: Kristen, Ryan, Audrey and Aimee Cox; Christina and Crystal Levien, and Hannah Farguhar. Great grandchild: Kolby Levien. A gathering will be held in Maple Ridge on Monday July 30th.
