Saskatchewan Express entertains park crowd

By Kelly Running The Observer

Saskatchewan Express performed in Moose Mountain Provincial Park on July 22 to a large crowd.

This year Saskatchewan Express celebrates its 32 years of existence with their Fireworks Summer Tour. A musical/dance group that claims to have Saskatchewan’s top talent performs across the province and country.

Sponsored by Sask Lotteries and PotashCorp the group is able to travel across Saskatchewan performing for the masses.

They had a full weekend in the southeast as they performed at the Moose Mountain Rodeo on July 21 and in Moose Mountain Provincial Park on July 22.

Their rodeo performance was approximately an hour long, while the one at the park lasted close to an hour and a half.

They performed a variety of tunes including current pop music, 60s music, country hits, and songs from movie soundtracks. Saskatchewan Express entertained large crowds both days.

Those at the Main Beach in Moose Mountain Provincial Park brought blankets and lawn chairs to sit for the afternoon and enjoy the show. Hundreds of people flocked to the beach for the performance.

There were mixed reviews for the day. Some saying that they had been better in previous years, while others stated it was a wonderful show. To make your own decision about the group they will be performing in the area next during the R.M. of Maryfield centennial celebrations on July 27.
