IVERSON: Clarence, May 28, 1928 - July 28, 2012. Clarence Iverson passed away Saturday, July 28, 2102, at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Helga (Aamodt.) Clarence was born and raised in Prince, Saskatchewan, and remained there to farm following the completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. In 1961, he married Nancy Watson of Southend, Scotland, and together they continued to run the farm and raise their family. Clarence was always active in the community, serving as a Wheat Pool delegate, president of the Battlefords' Agricultural Society, was a lifetime member of the Saskatoon Soaring Club, and an active member of the Sons of Norway and Ski for Light. After retiring to Saskatoon in 1994, he and Nancy were able to indulge in their love of travel, seeing everything from China to Australia, as well as returning to Europe and exploring Canada from coast to coast. Clarence was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, and leaves to mourn his wife, Nancy, children Ian (Shannon) of Winnipeg, and Shona (Clint) of Saskatoon, grandchildren Dustun (Aimee), Dana, Kayla, Cody, and Amber, great-grandson Asher, and sister, Jean Ice, of Minneapolis, MN, as well as his nieces, nephews and many cousins. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the Saskatoon hospitals, as well as to the palliative home care workers for helping to care for him in the past few weeks. A memorial tea will be held at the Meota Hall on Saturday, August 11 from 2 to 4 PM. ____________________________________________________
