The town of Battleford announced that the new traffic signal lights on Highway 4 will be activated this week.
The new signals were scheduled to be activated on Tuesday. These include the traffic signals on 22nd Street and highway 40, as well as at the intersection of 29th and highway 4.
The beginning of operations for the new traffic lights mark another milestone for the twinning project on highway 4 through the town of Battleford, a project that has been ongoing since last year.
The town is urging motorists to obey the new signals, and to approach these intersections with caution while residents become familiar with the new signal lights. Minor work and cleanup continues with the project as well.
