Valent's, Quash fungicide now registered in Canada

Nufarm to sell Quash Fungicide in Canadian markets

Valent Canada has inked a deal that sees Nufarm distributing the newly-registered Quash Fungicide in Canada.

Quash Fungicide, containing active ingredient metconazole was registered for specific Canadian markets in early May.

It's registered in canola, field peas, chickpeas, lentils, dry beans, potatoes and blueberries and controls a wide variety of infections including sclerotinia, powerdery mildew, ascochyta, early blight in potatoes, and mummy berry, anthracnose and phomopsis on blueberries.

Todd Younghans, of Valent Canada, said the two companies are committed to working together to provide retailers with products to protect and enhance crops ultimately improving profitability for growers.

“Valent and Nufarm are expanding on the partnership which began with Valtera last year. The success of this relationship has resulted in the expansion of our strategic alliance,” Younghans said. “We are excited to offer our customers in the Canadian marketplace a proven product to help them battle against devastating diseases.”

“Nufarm is pleased that we are able to add Quash to our extensive portfolio,” said Grant Deveson, Commercial Manager for Nufarm in Canada. “The addition of Quash Fungicide will create new and exciting opportunities for us in the Canadian market.”
