Blue Rodeo

One of Canada’s most famous bands will be appearing in Estevan for the first time early next year.

Blue Rodeo announced on Friday morning that they will be coming to Affinity Place on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, as part of a 23-city tour across the country to promote their latest album, 1,000 Arms. The concert is being sponsored by Estevan Mercury Publications.

Blue Rodeo announced details of 1,000 Arms, which will be released by Warner Music Canada on Oct. 28, during a press conference earlier this month. They also revealed their plans for the cross-country tour to promote the album.

It is the 14th album the band has released.

In the 30 years since their formation, Blue Rodeo has sold over four million albums, won countless Juno awards, been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, been named to the Order of Canada and been honoured with the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award.

Affinity Place club seat holders can purchase tickets online starting on Oct. 21.  Tickets go on sale to the public on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased through ticketmaster.ca, charge by phone 1-800-970-7328, or in Estevan at Henders Drugs. Tickets start at $53.50 (plus applicable service charges), and all tickets include a digital copy of 1,000 Arms.
