They were forced to change locations but the Coal Country Run was another success.

Normally held in Roche Percee, event organizers had to move the run to Bienfait at the last minute due to flooding in the community. Despite the change in venues almost 100 runners took part with 21 people competing in the five kilometre event and another 47 in the 10k run. The mini-mile was also popular with 30 kids participating.

Donny Mortenson of Estevan had the best overall 5k time at 24 minutes and seven seconds. David Wakefield was the best overall 10k runner with a time of 33:44.

Cheyenne Odgers was the top female mini-miler while Dustin Gerle was tops among males.

Barrett Fleck led the way in pledge collections among the mini-milers with $1,372. Tatiana Dutka was second with $1,265 and Noah Perkins was third with $495.
