Police seek suspect in Lampman gas theft

Update: 4:10 p.m. The RCMP has informed the Mercury the matter has been resolved and no charges are pending. RCMP are asking for assistance from the public to identify a man they allege is responsible for stealing gas from an Esso in Lampman.

RCMP are asking for assistance from the public to identify a man they allege is responsible for stealing gas from an Esso in Lampman.

The theft occurred on Nov. 25 at about 6:15 p.m. according to the time on the security images released by police. A press release from the Estevan RCMP noted a Ford F150 truck stopped at the Esso gas station in Lampman and the driver was seen fueling the truck and leaving without paying. About 116 litres of gas was taken and has been valued at $139.16.

The local detachment has distributed a number of images captured by a security camera and ask that anyone who may be able to identify the man or have other information regarding this incident to call the Estevan RCMP detachment at 306-637-4400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
