Train incident in Estevan on Tuesday morning

A train incident occurred in Estevan early on Tuesday morning. The accident involved two trains near the south Kensington Avenue railway crossing.

A train incident occurred in Estevan early on Tuesday morning. 

The accident involved two trains near the south Kensington Avenue railway crossing. A ballast care derailed, but remained upright, and according to the Estevan Police Service's Twitter feed, there is no immediate danger to the public. 

The affected portion of Kensington Avenue South was closed for about three hours due to the incident. The arterial road was reopened to traffic at about 9:30 a.m.

No injuries occurred in the accident.
