Jim Morgan passed away in Estevan on February 4th, 2007 at the age of 76.

Jim was born James Alexander McDonald on May 12, 1930 in Swift Current to Jim and Peg McDonald. When he was three years old, his father passed away and Jim was subsequently raised by his maternal grandparents at Vanguard.

He attended high school in Swift Current after which he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. By age 20, he was on active duty in Korea and returned to Canada in July of 1952. He and Lorraine were married three weeks later and lived in Victoria until September 1953, when Jim decided to leave the navy and return to Saskatchewan.

Jim and Lorraine made their home in Estevan where they raised their three girls. Jim worked first as a truck driver with Motorways and then for Petrolite Corporation until his retirement to the golf course. Jim enjoyed golfing as well as collecting golf balls from all around the world. In addition, he served for many years as a member of the executive of the OTS, taking an active role in its annual curling bonspiel and golf tournament. Captain Morgan will be missed by all.

Jim was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine; father, Jim McDonald; mother, Peg Morgan; step father, Dave Morgan; and brother, Ed.

He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Morgan of Regina; Peggy (Stuart) Boxrud of Estevan and children, Brett, and Marsy; Tami (Murray) Halvorson of Regina and children, Kyle, Chelsea, Sheena (Conrad) and Cullen.
