Born and raised in Torquay, Saskatchewan. Lois passed away peacefully in the loving embrace of her daughter Kathy.

Lois is lovingly survived by her four children and four grandchildren: Eldest son Hal Katernick, his wife Jane, and his daughter Sarah; son Wade Katernick and his wife Laurel and their children, Brittaney, Brendan and Ashley; son Darcy Katernick; and her daughter Kathy Labinsky. Lois is also survived by her four siblings: Bernice Vall, Maxine Olsen, Eileen Peters and her brother, Dallas Tenold and their children.

Lois will be greatly missed and remembered for her happy nature, infectious humour, and her joy of singing, listening and worshipping with Elvis Gospel hymns and her Olsen family Midnight Cry. The love Lois shared with her children will live on through them forever.

The service was held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C.
