Predeceased by her father Ralph Rae, and brothers, Mervyn Rae and Jim Rae.
Dianne Faith Rae was born in Estevan, Sask., on March 11, 1946. She was the fifth child of Ralph and Rhoda Rae of Benson. Dianne received her education at Benson School.
In 1963, Dianne married Ken Seeman of Lampman. They lived the first year on Ralph and RhodaÕs farm. In the spring of 1964, they moved to KenÕs dadÕs farm, where they lived until DianneÕs passing.
Ken and Dianne had three children, Brian, Brent and Melodie.
Dianne spent her early adult life raising her children and caring for her family. In the 1990s, she attended school to become a special care aide. She worked both at the Lampman Nursing Home and the long term care facility in St. JosephÕs Hospital in Estevan. She continued working in Estevan until she was no longer physically able. After her care career, she volunteered in the Lampman School in the elementary grades, helping both students and teachers.
She volunteered her time to many organizations over the years, including the Lampman Hospital Auxiliary, of which she was actively involved until very recently.
At the time of her death, her family had grown to six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family would like to thank friends, family and the community for the beautiful flower arrangements, the gifts of food and supplies, and the endless support through cards and caring words. Thank you to Pastor Dan Krauss for his support and special words. A special thank you to Dr. Bredenoord, the chemo nurses and the palliative care nurses for their wonderful care during DianneÕs illness.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 17 at St. LukeÕs Lutheran Church in Lampman.
Those so wishing may make donations to EstevanÕs Relay for Life through the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Dianne Seeman.
