It is with profound sadness that the family of Aline Phaneuf announce her passing in her sleep on May 20, 2007.
Aline was born to Raoul and Regina Gervais on October 14, 1918 on a farm near Hitchcock, Sask. She was the oldest of 10 children.
She was predeceased by her parents, Raoul and Regina Gervais; her husband, Rene in 2001; her brothers, Paul, Roland and Raymond Gervais; sister, Yvonne LaCoste; and daughter-in-law, Janice Phaneuf.
She is survived by her sons, Paul (Darlene) of Shellbrook, Sask., and Robert Phaneuf of Vancouver, B.C.; daughter, Dianne (Paul) Brissette of New Westminster, B.C.; six grandchildren: Michelle, Darren (Richelle), Garry (Tracy), Douglas, Debbie (Brad) and Reva; three great grandchildren, Dayton, Savannah and Dayle; brothers: Joseph (Alice) Gervais, Edmond (Geraldine) Gervais and Lawrence (Donna) Gervais and sisters, Angeline (Art) Friesen and Yvette Gervais.
A funeral mass was held on May 25, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Estevan, Sask. Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Lorne D. Crozon.
Pallbearers were AlineÕs three brothers, Joseph, Edmond and Lawrence; and her three grandsons, Darren and Garry Phaneuf and Douglas Brissette.
Interment was at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan, Sask.
Arrangements were in entrusted to Boire Funeral Home, Estevan.
