Allan Gould, 79, passed away on May 22, 2007 at Louis Brier Care Home in Vancouver.
His parents, Lillian and Alec Gould, formerly of Estevan, Saskatchewan and his stepmother, Irene Gould, of Burnaby, preceded him.
He leaves behind his brothers, Norman of Surrey, B.C., and Donald (Eleanora) of Collingwood, Ontario; one nephew and four nieces, as well as his good friend, Alice Provan of Burnaby.
Allan was born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan where he attended Valley View School. He moved to the Vancouver area about 1950. He worked at the Shaughnessy Veterans Hospital for many years before finishing his working career at the Jericho Army Base. Allan belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion for many years and at the time of his death, he was a member of branch #16. In his younger days, Allan was an accomplished bowler, playing in many leagues in the Vancouver area. Those who knew him best will miss his happy-go-lucky attitude.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your own choice would be greatly appreciated.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 30th, at 12:00 noon at First Memorial Services, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver.
