Ed passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the age of 79 years.

Ed was born in Lampman, Saskatchewan and worked as a plumber/gasfitter and butcher throughout his career.

Ed spent the past 9 years living in Alberta with his family and grandchildren. Ed is survived by sons Dennis of Brooks, Lyle (Dawnelle) of Langdon, Alberta and Lyn of Estevan; grandsons Trent and Tyler, granddaughters Jeanette, Chantel, Maddisen and Ashlynn; and four great grandkids Cameron, Abby, Jack and Kaylee; 3 sisters Lorna Tollman of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Sadie Mehler of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Hazel McCoy of Lacombe, Alberta.

A memorial service will be held in Estevan, Sask. at Boire Funeral Home, 937 Henry Street on Monday, August 20 at 10:30 a.m.

The family wishes to extend deepest gratitude to the staff at the Peter Lougheed, Rockyview and Foothill hospitals in Calgary for the kind and compassionate care given to Ed over the past several weeks.
