Leo was born at Hitchcock, Sask. and passed away peacefully at Hill View Manor.
Leo farmed all his life in the Outram district until 1967 then retired from farming and moved to Estevan. He worked at Commonwealth Mobile Home plant in Estevan and also drove taxi for a number of years. When fully retired, Leo sold his home on Isabelle Street and moved into an apartment, then into Hill View Manor home.
Leo's favourite past time was playing cards and golfing and he would travel whenever could.
Leo is survived by his children: Raymond (MaryLou) Audet, Estevan, Sask.; Patricia (Paul) Carriere, Carnduff, Sask.; Noel (Jeannine) Audet, Winnipeg, Man.; Richard (Betty) Audet, Wolseley, Sask.; Anita (Edward) Smith, Kenosee Lake, Sask.; Marcel (Elaine) Audet, Castlegar, B.C.; Joe (argot) Audet, Yellowknife, N.W.T.; Lorain (Wendy) Audet, Chipman, Alta.; sister-in-law Lucielle Audet.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose Ann Audet, his wife Mariette on August 14, 1979, brother Eli October 18, 2004; two grandchildren Trent Smith and Brian Audet; great grandson Tyson Carriere.
Prayers were said at 7:30 p.m. August 13 from Boire Funeral Home with Doug Third officiating. Funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 from St. John the Baptist Church with Father Lorne Crozon officiating, assisted by Father Leonardo. Interment followed at Estevan City cemetery. Arrangements were in care of Boire Funeral Home.
