David Lorne Lindgren was born on December 28, 1960 in Regina, Saskatchewan. At the age of four months, he was adopted by Lloyd and Gladys Lindgren. Six years later Ramona joined them and David became a big brother. David was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estevan.
David grew up on the farm southwest of Estevan. He attended Scotsburn and Estevan Comprehensive Schools. He loved the farm and the animals and was in 4-H. He enjoyed riding motor bike in the summer and snow machines in the winter. David always had a dog.
Very early in life, David and his cousin Miles Haukeness began the pursuit of fishing. Fishing became even more important in adulthood. David's holidays always involved fishing. He invited others to join him and patiently taught family, friends and their families as well how to fish.
David started working with SaskPower when he was eighteen. It proved a good match. His job took him to Regina, Saskatoon and back to Estevan, working in different departments.
When David moved back to Estevan for the last time, he was able to move back to the home farm. He loved living with the birds, the deer and of course, his dog.
David died suddenly on August 16, 2007 in Estevan. He will be greatly missed by a large family and many friends.
David is survived by his mother, Gladys, Estevan; sister, Ramona (Chris) Young, Lloydminster, Alta.; devoted pet Susie; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
