Edwin Lausch

It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin Herman Lausch. Ed was born January 15, 1929 in Lampman, Sask., and passed away August 3, 2007.

Ed was born, raised and lived in Lampman almost all of his 78 years. His life was blessed with many good neighbours, friends and family. He farmed for over 55 years and there was nothing he couldn't fix. He loved to tinker in his shop, take broken things apart and put them back together again. He was a mechanic, welder, machinist, plumber, electrician, repairman, a jack of all trades. Ed loved golfing, fishing, watching baseball, reading newspapers, watching the news, politics, travelling, playing cards, their winters in Yuma, Arizona and spending time with family and friends.

Ed was active in his community councillor for 20 years with the RM of Browning; actively involved with Faith Lutheran Church and was on many different boards and committees over the years.

Ed had a witty sense of humour which we will all miss. Ed was a very generous and caring man who had a strong faith in God.

Predeceased by his parents, Herman and Talla, son Brian, brother Art and infant brother Robert.

Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey; daughter Debra (Toronto); son Robert (Estevan); daughter Carla of Regina (Keith Hoffort); brother Leonard (Joyce) of Carlyle; 10 grandchildren: Michael, Greg, Karen, Melissa, Kevin, Jason, Justin, Jessica, Evan and Amy; as well as aunts and uncles, and nine special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 7 in Lampman Faith Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., with Reverend Danny Krauss presiding.

Arrangements in care of Boire Funeral Home.
