We give our heart filled thanks to the Estevan Public Library board and staff for the use of their space for the Estevan Community Garden’s Seedy Sunday March 15, 2015.
We had over 100 people attend the event from all over the southeast area of Saskatchewan. The workshops were held in the conversation corner, which enabled the participants to share gardening knowledge with each other. The open area worked fantastically to host our seed trading table and a children’s craft area.
Using the meeting rooms allowed the seed vendors and information displays to meet the public without being distracted from the normal bustle of a very well-used library. We were even given the use of the staff room to ensure there were refreshments available to our guests.
The staff decorated the library with seed and garden literature and helped us out in any way we needed.
