Local trapshooters successful at provincials

Several local trapshooters took aim and claimed provincial championships in Regina recently. Five members were able to stake a claim at the 2017 Saskatchewan Provincial Championship, hosted July 13-16 at the Regina Trap Club.

Five members were able to stake a claim at the 2017 Saskatchewan Provincial Championship, hosted July 13-16 at the Regina Trap Club.

Logan King, already with a national title this season, won the 2017 Saskatchewan doubles championship out of a field of 52 by shooting 95 out of 100 targets. King also won the Saskatchewan high all around championship by getting a score of 380/400 and won the Saskatchewan high over all championship with a score of 643/700 targets.

It was a tremendously successful weekend for King, who also won the Saskatchewan junior singles championship and the Saskatchewan junior handicap championship over the weekend at provincials.

Another local shooter, Chase McNabb, attended his first provincials and won the Saskatchewan sub-junior doubles and the Saskatchewan sub-junior singles championship.

Reg King, Logan's father, won the Saskatchewan singles class D championship.

Jason Coldwell also attended his first provincials and won the novice event.

Sheldon and Chase McNabb won the parent-sub junior event and Logan and Reg King won the parent-junior event.
