In the early 1970s, four local businessmen invested in a small business that grew to worldly proportions. Their business philosophy was simple: complete dedication to both product knowledge and customer service. Fifty years later, this is still the cornerstone for TS&M Supply’s continuing success.

Today, TS&M Supply distributes a full line of oilfield and industrial products around the world, dubbing it the only one-stop shop for oilfield supply companies. It provides service, repair, and technical support to products including fibreglass, pumps, and safety equipment. Its full service, in-house repair shop also tends to its client’s needs. “What makes us stand out from other supply companies is our ability to do it all,” said Dallas Taillon, the Distribution Center Manager at TS&M Supply.

A part of the Distribution NOW family, TS&M is connected to a large, multinational company. Despite its large network, however, the oilfield supply company still maintains and celebrates its local identity. Its head office is still located in Estevan and the business is still managed by local people. “We still have that hometown, locally-owned feel even though we are owned by a global company,” said Taillon, who also stands as TS&M Supply’s Regional Operations Advisor. “Our people are one of our greatest assets – whether it’s the customers or our employees,” he added.

However, TS&M has more than just its staff to thank for its charming hometown feel; Taillon also sheds a light on the community of Estevan who built and continues to support the supply company. To give back, he said “we always try to support local endeavours where our shops are located,” mentioning the golf course in Estevan, local sports teams and community fundraisers.

Though it began as a one-store business, TS&M has expanded its humble roots to span across the continent with 22 locations employing nearly 200 people. Through its evolution, from that small business in 1973, TS&M remains a solid leader in the industry.
