2014, Alice Mildred Marklinger
of St. Joseph’s Hospital Long
Term Care, Estevan, passed
away with her family by her
side. 

   Alice is survived by her loving
family: children, Wayne (Nancy)
Marklinger, Gary Marklinger,
daughter-in-law Lindsay Mark-
linger, son-in-law Gary Sand-
hoff, Mary Jane (Frank Young),
Linda (Jim) Choquette and Car-
ol (Les) Geisel; 14 grandchil-
dren and 19 great grandchil-
dren; brothers, Harold, Irvin and
Lester; sisters, Kaye and Eva.

   She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John Allen
Marklinger; son Lloyd Marklinger; daughter Gail Sandhoff; par-
ents, Charles and Lena (Mehler) Fieber; brothers, Bill, Ed, Clar-
ence, Herb and Frank; sisters, Martha Dennis and Louise (Sister
Winnifred) Fieber.

   Prayers were held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 7:00
p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. The Fu-
neral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at
10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by
Rev. Brian Meredith. Interment followed at Souris Valley Memo-
rial Gardens, Estevan. 

   Those wishing to make donations in Alice’s memory may do
so directly to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, Box 5000-
203, 1176 Nicholson Road, Estevan, SK, S4A 2V6.

   Funeral arrangement were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services,
Estevan.

The family of Alice Marklinger would like to thank everyone who
expressed condolences through cards, phone calls and visit.
Your kind words were very special to us. We would like to ex-
press our gratitude to all the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital Long
Term Care who cared for Alice. You are very special people.
Thanks to Doug Third for his words of prayer and a special
thanks to Father Brian for mom’s celebration of life service. Also
thanks to the funeral choir at St. John the Baptist and Dustin
Hall for the beautiful song; the readers, Terri Sampert (Markling-
er), Jeremy Geisel and Amanda Welsh (Geisel) and the CWL for
a lovely lunch. Thank you to Dustin Hall and staff of Hall Funeral
Services for their compassion and professional service that they
provided at this difficult time.
