Melvina passed away at the St. Joseph’s Special Care Home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 78 years.
Melvina’s memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Susan King (Randy Ward) and her children, Stephen King, Curtis (Tanis) and their son Angus and Kelley; daughter Shirley Hogan and her children, Doug and Terence (Melissa) and their children, Elizabeth, Chloe, Isabelle and Kimberly, and Christopher (Ashley) and their children, Kallum, Ahria and Daxton; daughter-in-law April Hogan; siblings, Leo “Butch” Olson (Rhonda), Bernie “Red” Olson and Gloria (John) Unrau.
She was predeceased by her husband Vincent; sons, Ronald and Allan; parents, Edwin and Signe Olson and siblings, Doug Olson, Earl (Gladys) Olson, Judy Olson and Yvonne Olson.
A public visitation was held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan, with The Rev. Mark Osborne officiating. Interment followed at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, after which a luncheon was held in the church social hall.
