Officers were called April 10 for a report of a stabbing.

Police say the victim, who has been identified as 49-year-old Shaun Napoleon Watcheston, was transported to hospital and died two days later.

Officers arrested the accused after responding to a separate assault call on April 11.

Police say Watcheston's death is Regina's second homicide of the year.
