Three of Saskatchewan`s best known musicians will be coming to Estevan next month.

Jeffery Straker and Friends will be performing at the Estevan Comprehensive School on Oct. 9, starting at 7:30 p.m. Joining Straker will be Jack Semple and Annette Campagne in a showcase of Saskatchewan talent, and an engaging and uplifting multi-artist concert.

The performances will be part of the Estevan Arts Council`s Estevan Concert Series.

Through a combination of experienced voices and diverse musical styles backed by stellar musicians, this is a performance of song and story.

Straker is the host and lead musician for the evening. An award-winning musician, he performs more than 100 shows per year across Canada, Europe and Latin America. Whether solo or backed by full symphony orchestra, he’s left critics drawing comparisons to the likes of Harry Chapin, Carole King and Billy Joel.

Straker will be releasing a new single, One Foot on Main Street, from his upcoming 2020 album to kick off the tour. The song celebrates small towns and the people who grew up in them, and will be available online Sept 23.

It will also be performed at all concerts.

Semple has reached an international audience with his songwriting, recordings and performances as a vocalist and virtuoso guitarist. He’s a Juno recipient, two-time winner of the Western Canadian Blues Album of the Year Award and has received a Grammy ballot nomination for his release Contemporary Blues Album.

Folk singer-songwriter and Western Canadian Music Award winner Campagne has been performing for over 25 years, both as a founding member of the acclaimed group Hart Rouge and now in her solo career.
