Drewitz participates in Highland dance exams

Students from the Drewitz School Of Dance, under the direction of Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway, participated in Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance Highland Exams on Nov. 19. The examiner was Karen Baird from Glasgow, Scotland.

Students from the Drewitz School Of Dance, under the direction of Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway, participated in Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance Highland Exams on Nov. 19.

The examiner was Karen Baird from Glasgow, Scotland. This year’s exams brought in the New Dance Star exams as well as medal, national and jig examinations. Recently received results are as follows:

In Highland medals, dance star 1 successful pass went to Elizabeth Harmsworth, Tyler Zabel, Olivia Von Sprecken, Avery Talsma, Kennady Poole, Ava Mann and Delaney Tamblyn.

Dance star 2 successful pass went to Kennady Poole, Sophia Deitz and Aspen Mayuk.

A successful pass in dance star 3 went to Naveah Lang, Sierra Burback, Kelsie Wilson, Summer Gardiner, Payton Sernick, Chloe Marsh and Ekko Sanguin.

In pre-bronze fling, Sophia Deitz, Aspen Mayuk, Kennady Poole, Olivia Von Sprecken and Naveah Lang were highly commended.

In pre-bronze sword, Summer Gardiner, Sierra Burback, Ekko Sanguin and Payton Sernick were highly commended, while Kelsie Wilson was commended plus.

Ekko Sanguin, Payton Sernick, Tegan Mosley and Alyssa Saccary had bronze medal highly commended status.

In pre-silver medal, Sophia Fleck and Cana Marsh were highly commended, Alexis Paton and Aurora McCutcheon were commended plus and Sienna Kuntz was commended.

Kerison Burnett was highly commended and Gabrielle Gedak was commended plus in silver medal.

Halle Adams and Marley Nashiem were highly commended in pre-gold medal.

As for the Scottish Award 1 medal, Brielle Wakely was highly commended and Elsie Alexander was commended plus.

In Scottish National Medals, in pre-bronze national, Sophia Fleck and Alyssa Saccary earned highly commended status, while Sienna Kuntz, Aurora McCutcheon and Alexis Paton were commended plus.

Kerison Burnett was highly commended and Gabrielle Gedak was commended in silver national.

Marley Nashiem and Halle Adams were highly commended in gold national.

Scottish Award 1 National highly commended status went to Elsie Alexander and Brielle Wakely, while Jenna Fleck was commended plus.

Finally, Irish jig medals were handed out. Pre-bronze jig highly commended went to Kerison Burnett and Gabrielle Gedak. Bronze and silver jig highly commended went to Marley Nashiem and Halle Adams.

Brielle Wakely and Elsie Alexander were highly commended in gold jig.
