Drewitz students receive results for dance exams

The Drewitz School of Dance has received the results from the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) jazz and tap examinations.

The tests were administered Nov. 26 and 27, and examiners were Sandy Slemp from Calgary and Angela Prosseur from Oshawa, Ont.

In the tap exams, for pre-junior tap, Ella Smyth, Zelie Roy-Cennon and Isabelle Culham were highly commended. Kayleigh Reed, Rowan Grimes, Tyler Zabel and Kirsten Waloshin were commended plus.

Commended status was awarded to Aliza Pulvermacher, Madison Zukewich, Keira Kessler, Natalie Currie and Kenley-Grayce Richardson.

Everleigh Blanchette was a pass plus.

In pre-intermediate 2 tap, Elsie Alexander was highly commended, Shayla Gill was commended, Shayna Fichter was a pass plus, and Lyssa Strilaeff, Kelsey Kowalchuk and Katelyn Conquergood had a pass.

As for the jazz exams, in pre-junior jazz, Nate Wilhelm, Meeka Gedak and Myah Kallis were highly commended, Isabella Culham, Zelie Roy-Cennon and Grace Hall were commended plus, Mollie Kingdon, Kayleigh Reed, Quinn Zahn and Eva Gedak were commended, and Charlie Walsh and Delaney Tamblyn were pass plus.

In junior 1 jazz, Ava Mann earned a commended plus. Commended went to Sophia Deitz, Sierra Mantei, Alivia Waldegger, Brooklyn Penney and Aspen Mayuk, pass plus went to Gabrielle Deitz, Aubree Drabek, Kirsten Waloshin, Coco Mercer, Summer Petersen, Avery Talsma and Kennady Poole; while Lyric Beauiieu was a pass.

In junior 2 jazz, Ella Duke, Brooke Dzeryk and Summer Gardiner were commended plus, Sydney Lainton was commended; Marin Burnett, Rylee Johnston, Kelsie Wilson, Naveah Lang and Tegan Mosley had a pass plus, and Payton Sernick and Kynnadi Smith passed.

Lindsay Mack was a commended plus in junior 3 jazz. Makenzie Onrait, Hunter McNabb, Ekko Sanguin, Tyann Babyak, Paige Petersen and Peyton Irwin were commended. Sophia Fleck, Mercedes Irwin, Sydney Ross, Rowyn Siever, Scarlett Mercer, Layla Kitz, Rya Strilaeff, Aurora McCutcheon, Gabrielle Gedak and Audie-Rae Richardson had a pass plus.

In pre-intermediate 1 jazz, Marley Nashiem was a commended plus, while Sadie Smith, Katelyn Conquergood and Halle Adams were commended. Randi Milbrandt, Jayla Memory, Samantha Carritt and Bryanna Morrow were pass plus, and pass went to Makenna Empey, Kylie Armstrong, Maya Sands, Brooklynn Sullivan and Hailey Taylor.

Highly commended plus in pre-intermediate 3 jazz went to Elsie Alexander, while Brielle Wakely was highly commended and commended plus went to Jersey Long. Codie Lemcke and Shayla Gill were commended, and Emily Phillips, Madison Hrywkiw, Shayna Fichter and Lyssa Strilaeff had a pass plus.
