The Estevan Comprehensive School’s performance of the musical Footloose proved to be a big hit with the community.
Footloose was performed on Thursday and Friday night, and Saturday and Sunday afternoon, in front of sold-out crowds of several hundred at the school’s cafetorium.
The show featured the singing, dancing and acting talents of more than 40 students. It also had another 20 students in the crew, 20 students in hair and makeup, and 15 adult volunteers.
Several stages were set up in the venue, bringing the performers closer to the audience.
An old-fashioned video arcade was in the back of the cafetorium, allowing people to play the games before and after the show, and during the intermission. Raffles were also held each night.
This week’s edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
