Souris Valley Museum along with the Southeast Newcomer Services made sure that those, who made it to the Heritage Winter Carnival on Saturday, wouldn’t leave disappointed.

Horse and sleigh rides, a pasta craft, painting and interactive activities with the charming and inspiring aboriginal artist, writer and storyteller Carol Daniels were offered.

The weather kept guests away from doing pre-planned snow painting and ice block castle building, but the atmosphere inside the museum was amazing. And the hot potato soup was just right to make the day perfect.

More pictures and stories on the Heritage Winter Carnival at the Souris Valley Museum are coming up in the Wednesday issue of the Estevan Mercury and the Friday Southeast Lifestyles.
