What is common between people, coffee beans, personal stories and art? The answer is Common Ground. So-named exhibition opened at Art Concepts Custom Framing.

Local artist Lauren Daae created a series of artwork, in which she brought all of the above together turning the mixture into intense and touching portraits. She presented her first exhibition to the public last Friday.

Introducing the artist, gallery co-owner Byron Fichter pointed out that not only Daae has an undeniable talent, but she also has found her niche in the world of art, which often is the most difficult part for most artists.

Daae’s niche and her favourite medium was “that one connecting liquid” – coffee.
