Update: United Way Telethon surpasses $100,000

The United Way Estevan has surpassed the $100,000 mark for its annual fundraising telethon. The telethon reached six figures Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. The goal is to raise $320,000 by 5 p.m. Saturday evening.

The United Way Estevan has surpassed the $100,000 mark for its annual fundraising telethon.

The telethon reached six figures Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. The goal is to raise $320,000 by 5 p.m. Saturday evening.

Proceeds will be directed to the United Way's 15 member agencies and various community impact projects.

Entertainment has been happening throughout the telethon. There has been some live entertainment and some pre-recorded performances.

People have also been bidding on the various silent auction items available.

The Mercury will have updates during the day on the telethon.
