Homes for Dogs happening Oct. 12

Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate in Estevan and the Estevan Humane Society will be teaming up on Oct.

Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate in Estevan and the Estevan Humane Society will be teaming up on Oct. 13 to join hundreds of Coldwell Banker offices and animal shelters around the country for the Coldwell Banker Homes for Dogs National Adoption Weekend.

The Estevan event will take place at the Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate office at 1210 Fourth Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The nationwide adoption weekend is part of the Homes for Dogs Project, a four-year campaign launched by Coldwell Banker Real Estate and Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America's largest non-profit pet adoption website.

There will be a pet adoption drive for both dogs and cats, a fundraising barbeque and a pet food drive, so people are asked to bring their pet food to the office.

In just the first year alone, the organizations helped to facilitate more than 20,000 adoptions across the country.

Coldwell Banker launched Old Dog New Dog in May 2018, a national campaign which told the story of a family and an older homeless dog who found each other thanks to a Coldwell Banker agent who is volunteering at a pet adoption event.

“We are lucky enough to help people in the Estevan community find new homes every day,” said Josh LeBlanc, broker affiliated with Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate “Now, we get to extend that service to pets in need. It’s a win-win.”
