The Estevan Mercury has announced details on a couple of upcoming promotions that give local residents a chance to win prizes.
The first is the Home Makeover contest that will run in the Oct. 23 and 30 editions of the Mercury, as well as on Nov. 6. It involves a $2,500 gift card for the Floor Store that can be used for purchasing new flooring, blinds or paint.
“The way you can enter is by going to one of our participating businesses and entering your name in a draw box, or by liking their Facebook pages and answering their questions over the next three weeks,” said Deanna Tarnes, the sales manager and publisher of the Mercury.
The participating businesses, in addition to the Floor Store and the Mercury, are Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate, the Days Inn Estevan, Murray GM Estevan, Royal LePage Dream Real Estate, Sobey’s Ready to Serve, Sholter Horsman Furniture and Appliances, Carlyle RV and Leisure, King’s Department Store and Michael’s Coffee Shop and Bakery. The latter three businesses are in Carlyle.
Tarnes is pleased with the diversity of participating businesses in this particular promotion.
Since the Floor Store also has a location in Carlyle where the money can be spent, the promotion is also running in the next three editions of the Carlyle Observer.
The other promotion, which is online and starts Oct. 28, is to win tickets for the concert featuring The Offspring and SUM 41 Nov. 23 at Affinity Place.
“There are four businesses,” said Tarnes. “You watch for their ads on our website, click on the ad and it will take you to a ballot on our website.”
The businesses for the promotion are Save the Stress Cleaning Service, A&A Jewelry, Linda Mack of RE/MAX Progressive Blue Chip Real Estate and Johnson Plumbing and Heating, in addition to the Mercury.
There could also be Facebook components for the different businesses.
Each business will be giving away a pair of tickets.
