Two valuable organizations in southeast Saskatchewan received support Thursday from a local hotel.
The Microtel Inn and Suites in Estevan presented cheques for $3,750 to each of the Estevan Family Resource Centre and the Envision Counselling and Support Centre.
The money was raised through the Common Ground program by Masterbuilt Hotels, which is Microtel’s parent company. Guests have the option of whether they want to donate $2 per night; that money is then turned over to charitable organizations. The money presented on Thursday came from 2019.
The local staff members then get to decide which organizations to support, and they chose Envision and the family centre.
