Two people are dead after a house fire Tuesday morning in Estevan.
The blaze, which occurred at a residence on Hillcrest Drive, completely destroyed the home and killed the two occupants, a male and female whose names have not been released as of yet.
According to information from the Estevan Police Service, they received a call about a fire in the Pleasantdale area at 2:04 a.m.
Both the EPS and Estevan Fire Rescue Service members arrived at the scene a short time later and found the structure completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and made the grisly discovery of the two bodies in a subsequent search of the scene.
As of Tuesday afternoon, both parties were working to identify the victims. The Office of the Fire Commissioner arrived at the scene on Tuesday and were investigating the cause of the fire.
