First cross-country meet of the season

The first cross-country meet of the year for local school students was held Thursday afternoon at the Woodlawn Regional Park.

Students in a variety of grades ran for distances ranging from one to three kilometres through the different areas of the park.

The meet attracted young people from the six elementary schools in Estevan, as well as other schools in the southeast.

There will be additional meets happening this fall in the Estevan area.
