Southeast College is once again collecting donations at its campus locations in Estevan, Moosomin, Whitewood, Indian Head and Weyburn as part of its annual Christmas food drive.

Collections have already started at a number of locations and will wrap up Dec. 19, with all of the collected items donated locally in each of the communities.

“As part of our commitment to enhancing our student experience and to encourage our students and staff to help to give back to the communities that we serve, we are very excited to offer collection points for donations,” said Sheena Onrait, manager of marketing and communications for Southeast College.

“As part of an added bonus this year, every donation that a person makes either a non-perishable food item donation or a cash donation will earn them a draw ballot. At the end of the collection period will draw at each of our locations for a prize package.”

Collection bins will be placed at the five campus locations. Staff, students and the public are encouraged to drop off donations at these locations up until Dec. 19.

“We are members of the communities that we serve and we recognize that food bank usage traditionally increases in the Christmas season,” said Dion McGrath, president and CEO of Southeast College. “We encourage other businesses and groups to join in with us to help meet the needs of individuals and families in southeast Saskatchewan.”
