Collision near Rouleau leaves one person dead

Milestone RCMP have been at the scene of a train versus semi-trailer collision that occurred on a grid road on Highway 39, approximately two kilometres east of Rouleau. The semi-truck had an adult driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Milestone RCMP have been at the scene of a train versus semi-trailer collision that occurred on a grid road on Highway 39, approximately two kilometres east of Rouleau.

The semi-truck had an adult driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was declared deceased on scene by EMS.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.

A Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, Occupational Health and Safety and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service also attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the CP Rail Police Service.

Highway 39 is not blocked at this time.
