On Aug. 12, police attended a local residence to check compliance of conditions that were in place on the resident after being released from custody. During a search, approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine was located.
Police Service Dog Max was utilized to locate the contraband in the residence. The 37-year-old woman was charged with possession of meth and breaching conditions of her undertaking.
A 31-year-old man who was also in the residence was charged with possession of meth as well. They will answer to the charges in court on Oct. 7, 2019.
The same day, police were also called to a local lounge to deal with a man patron that had been rude and belligerent to staff. Police mediated while the tab was paid and the man was asked to leave. No further problems were reported.
